Our History

Founded by the late Chief Executive officer (CEO) Mr. Mohammed Yarseen Ali fondly known as “Cap Ali” along with Mr. Indal Harracksingh (Attorney at Law),  MrCarl Ramsammy, and Mr. Hassan Ali (Businessman) the company began in 1970 and was known as Presidential Insurance Brokers. In 1972 they were granted a license to operate as an insurance company.

 

Mr. M.Y Ali served as the company’s chairman until he passed in 1999. However, his dynamic personality and knowledge of insurance, and his involvement in the horse racing facility made him a well-known personality in society. His ideal down-to-earth, hands-on approach to Motor Insurance helped to create a company with a difference.
